Here is a card I made using one of my favourite sets from Sparkle N Sprinkle called 'Star Bunnies'. I find these cuties so versatile for lot's of different occasions.

I wanted a really happy bright and sparkly card so I also added some Sparkle N Sprinkle glitters which are so vibrant and fun. Here I used Blue Jewel, Fantasy Gold and Dazzling Rose.You can find the range of glitters and embossing powders here.

Just Chillin

Hi guys ;)

I wanted to share a card I made a while back for Polka Doodles using the latest and fabulous CD 'Pretty Tuff'. It's perfect for the guys in your life but it also works great with 'Pretty Sweet' too.

I love the fact that on this CD Nikky gives you the choice of using a black and white image for you to colour or if you want a quick card you also get a pre coloured version which I find very useful for those last minute makes.

I have coloured this little chap and perched him on a pre coloured bench.

I made the cloud effects using my distress ink and a scalloped piece of paper sponging the ink over it lightly.

I'm desperate to get some crafting done but I burnt two of my fingers on the hob so I'm sruggling to bend them at the moment without them cracking open!

Here is my card for the hop and my card represents 'Love is in the Air' with the sweet little sailor boy and his obvious passion for the great outdoors, sailboats and the sea. I love this calming and relaxed feel this stamp creates.

I wanted to make my card look like an aged postcard and to create this I used my grand labels 23 nestabilites for the card shape and inked around the edge of the card, sentiment and image.

Paper Book Wreath

Hello ;)

Here is another Christmas creation which I made using an old paper book and I loved the outcome and got so many compliments on this wreath.

I can't take credit for the idea as I found it on you tube along with lot's of other fab wreath tutorials. This particular wreath idea was found here.

It was so therapeutic making the cone shapes even though at first I thought it would take me forever but you soon get the knack of it and before you know it you have a mountain of them ;)

Here it is on my cabinet in my front room but I ended up putting it on my front door as mine leads into a porch so it was inside.

The baubles were a bargain from the pound shop and I think I got something like 30 for £1!

I would definitely consider making one for this Christmas.......did I just say this Christmas??? It will be here before we know it and this year as I always say i'm going to make all my Christmassy things well in advance...hmmmm we'll see lol

Girls are Special

Hello Guys ;)

I wanted to share a card I made using this beautiful stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle called 'Gathering Wildflowers' . You can also buy the set called 'Children- Sailor Boy' which you buy here.

I thought this stamp would look good coloured using my watercolour pencils so I dug out some watercolour paper.

I cut out the image using my nestabilities and attached it to my Lattice rectangle which I threaded satin ribbon through.

The sentiment is also part of the set and I sponged over it with distress ink.

The flower was made using my new spiral Blossom flower die and a cupcake case and then sprinkled with Autumn Medley glitter also from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Good Morning Campers,

It's time for the very first Polka Doodle Challenge of 2012 and what a fab 1st challenge it is too......a sketch to get you right back into the swing of things.

I must admit I was a tad scared of the 'Use shades of Grey' part but I think I managed to pull it off even though I just love bright colourful creations I think this card pops!

I think these papers and toppers from the 'Not for Girls Definitely for Men' CD are just super and there really is something on it for everyone.

Warmest Winter Wishes

Happy New Year Friends!

Here is my 1st post of 2012 and one of many crafty creations. It is however a card from last year and a Christmas card I really enjoyed making.

I started out with a 5 x 5 card base and layered my patterned papers. I then tore a piece of scrap copier paper and edged it with my glue pen adding some sparkly silver glitter. I used an old dovecraft tree punch and glued them behind the copier paper. The snow couple is again one I found on google images and I think they make a perfect little cozy couple for this card. I just coloured their accessories and highlighted the outline of their bodies with copics and added glitter.
Once cut out I glued them to the card and sprinkled white flowersoft around them for snow effect.
The sentiment was made on my pc and was cut with my nestablities and again glitter was added around.

Christmas Carols

Hello All :)

Another Christmas card to share with you this evening. As I mentioned in my last post we have had internet issues over Christmas so I still have quite a few cards and creations to share with you, the only thing is that now it's nearly over it makes me kinda of sad :(

The build up comes around so quickly and before you know it we are heading into January for a new year of fun and adventures!

Anyway here is a card I made (not my usual style) quite traditional and yet still colourful and cheery I just love colour!

I apologise for not noting where I got the wonderful Christmas paper background and the lovely image from but if I remember I will add to this post.

Happy Holidays Peeps!

Hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and ready for the new year ahead. We have had internet issues over Christmas so this is why I've not had chance to stop by and wish you all a Happy Christmas!

Well me and mine had a fabulous day filled with lot's of happy and excited faces from the boys and a lovely Christmas dinner. It just makes me so sad at how fast the day comes and goes by and before you know it we are getting ready for the next one lol.

I have a few cards and creations to share with you over the next few days but for now I will leave you with this ;)

Love this song and film and every Christmas Eve we sit and watch this with the boys and they really are so excited at this point.......us too lol

Anyway this year I decided to make Owen, Harvey and Ryan cards with my Snowman paper I have had forever. Really quick and simple but so effective. I just added a sprinkle of glitter and a personal name tag.

I have made George a different card which I will post shortly. Hope you are all getting your last minute tasks completed. We have had no internet for the past week so it's been a tad frustrating but we are sorted now.

It's Challenge time again over at PolkaDoodles and this week Enfys is your host and she would like you to make a Christmas card or project for a child with a surprise element (something hidden the child can find).

For my card I decided to use the newly released 'Pretty Tuff ' CD and to make the card for a teenager. I thought a gift card would make the perfect gift for this difficult age to buy for when they much prefer to choose something themselves. I wouldn't obviously give a Costa Coffee card but it was all I had handy at the time of taking the pic lol

Celebrate Son

Well I can't believe we are nearing December faster than ever! Where has this year gone? I know I've had a wonderful blessed year bringing baby George into the world and he is growing bigger by the day.

Anyway here is one of the cards I made for Nikky from PolkaDoodles for the TV channel - Create and Craft. I have used a newly released and fabulous CD - Pretty Tuff. It's an awesome one for the boys but works fabulously with the Pretty Sweet too.

I love the wonderful colours on this CD they are so vibrant and rich.I coloured the little guy with copics and the border across the bottom is an EK success one. The sentiment is punched with a 1.5" circle punch and framed with scalloped circle nesties.

For You

Hope you all had a fab Weekend? It was my Mum's 50th Birthday yesterday and she had a wonderful time spending it with her nearest and dearest. We had a lovely meal made by my sister with muscles in white wine sauce for starters followed by coq au vin and of course a huge slice of birthday cake to finish......yummy! She had some beautiful gifts and we are now looking forward to her party ;)

I've been a little under the weather the past week due to George deciding to take a bite of not just one but both breasts whilst feeding and I've been in agony!! I'm on a course of antibiotics and because they are so sore I haven't been able to feed him and he refuses a bottle. He is on solids though so he won't starve lol

Anyway here is a card I have made using this cute little stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle and you can buy the set here.

I adore this image she is just too cute. I coloured her with copics and then added glitter also available from Sparkle N Sprinkle here. The glitters are the best I've used and the colour variety is fabulous. I have used Florida Beach and Autumn Medley.

The card base was made using one of my creative book pages grand nestabilities. I love how it turned out. The sentiment is one from an old set which I cut out with nesties tag and sponged distress ink over whilst it was still in the nestie.

Swirls and Pearls

Happy Friday people and welcome to another challenge at PolkaDoodles.

This week Daniele is hosting the challenge and she wants to see pretty swirls and/or pearls on your creations.

I decided to use the 'Pretty Sweet" CD again...... can you tell how much I love it? lol

The sweet little image and the spotty paper and sentiment is 'Pretty Sweet' and the pink swirly and flower paper is from the wonderful 'Sugar Birdies' CD. The flowers I made using a couple of punches and with a mixture of both papers. The image was coloured using copics and the border is an EK

Today I'm excited to share my very 1st card I have made for the fabulous "Sparkle N Sprinkle'.

I'm sure you will agree with me that this little fella is so cute? I must admit I was a tad nervous at colouring him using my copics because of the fur effect. I just decided to go for it and ended up applying copic on some old terry toweling cloth and dabbing it lightly on the koala. I really like the effect and will try this again.

The stamp is part of a set called Casey's Adventures which you can buy here but you can also purchase individual stamps like Casey here too. The sentiment is also part of the set which I think is fab.

I'm back to share another card for this weeks challenge at PolkaDoodles which is hosted by Fliss.

The challenge is to make a shaped card and I love shaped cards so I really enjoyed this one.

What made this even more fun is that I was able to use my pazzle to cut out the little doggy using 'Paper Boutique vol 3' which is packed full of fab and fun templates.

Here I've used 'Buster' but decided to make him into a her lol

I decided if I can make 'Buster' a girl then why not have a spotty little doggy too! I have used 'Pretty Sweet' for the papers another fab CD full of goodies for you ;)

I'm doing the Happy dance......

because I have 2 very exciting things to share with you! Well firstly I'm so excited to announce that I have been asked to join the wonderfully talented Sparkle N Sprinkle team. I have known about about this for about 2 weeks and really wanted to have a card ready when I announced it however I'm waiting for my package to arrive any day now :) If you like all thing's sparkly and fab then you need to check these out because they sell a fabulous range of embossing powders, glitters, flocks, stamps and also the pazzle and cut files.

The next bit of exciting news is that I applied for the DT call over at Polka doodles who sell a fabulous range of craft goodies and the most fabulous CD's which are full of delicious papers and images! I was so happy to receive an email from Nikky (the boss lady) who offered me a postion on the extremely talented team! Of course I accepted and I'm still doing the happy dance! I was also thrilled to be working with a couple of ladies who I have worked with on past DT's and known one from the very beginning (the fabulous Enfys) who has always made me smile not only from her wonderful work but from her fabulously funny sense of humour!

Anyways I hear you say I must be nuts joining DT's with now 3 children and one being 7mths but to be honest I have found that since I've not been on any I get crafters block and I think this is due to me having so many ideas but not anything to follow if this makes sense! I need something to get my creative juices flowing and if these don't then it's time to choose another hobby!

Tea for two

Hello :)

Today I'm sharing a card I made using one of my new and favourite nestabilities - Fleur De Lis.

I decided to make a shaped card using this set and I love it.

I did try cutting this with my cuttlebug and I think the card i used was maybe a little too thick as i needed to put it through a few times and the cut was not perfect. My lovely husband decided to buy me the Grand Calibur which cut it like a dream :) I will still be keeping my little green bug though as he can be used with my other dies.

The stamp set used is called 'Tea House' and is from Dovecraft.

I used Labels 8 to frame the sentiment and coloured the tea cups with copics.

Hello :)

Today I'm sharing a card I've made using one of my many neglected 'Magnolia's'!

Since I have had my new crafting space I'm determined to use my ever growing craft supplies that I keep replenishing even though there is no need to!

I decided to make a Halloween card seeing as though we are already in October and I don't know where time is going at the moment.

I used one of my new Grand Nestabilities - Labels 23 for the shaped card base and also a new Sizzix Embosslits die's - charm frame which I think is so cute. The sentiment was done on my PC and printed on some Hairy Manilla card which I scoured the internet for and found it here at ecocrafts. I think I will be using a lot more of this stuff as I think it is so versatile.

I coloured Tilda with my coloursoft pencils and blended with Sansodor.

Deepest Sympathy

Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday wherever you are right now. We have just finished Dinner and I'm about to start some crafting :)
This is a card I did for a friend who recently lost his mother. Of course this is always a difficult time and for me it was a first regarding Sympathy cards as I have never attempted to make one before.

I tried to use light subtle colours and wanted to keep the card quite soft and simple.

I thought the white rose background paper was perfect to just add warmth and depth to the card.

I did add a beautiful poem inside too and I know the recipient really appreciated it :)

After searching through blogs for ideas I come across one on the wonderfully talented Becca's blog and took inspiration from it.

Hello Crafting friends,

I'm so excited to be back crafting after rather a long break. ( see post below for the reason)

I have missed you guys so much and can't wait to visit you all real soon :)

To get me back in to the swing of things my wonderful husband got me the perfect 10 year Anniversary present a crafting girl could wish for........

My own creative space

Of course living with 3 (sorry 4) males it needed to be seriously girly!

It's perfect for me because since having our kitchen done last year we knocked through to create a kitchen diner so I'm in the middle part between the living room and the kitchen away from distractions such as TV but close enough to the kettle and fridge for my midnight snacks lol

If you guys have any pics of your space I would love to see them :)

I'm back and with a new addition to the family.......

Hello Guys!!!

It's been too long since I last posted on my blog and I'm so excited to be typing this post because this means I'm finally ready to get back into crating.

If you didn't already know the reason for my break it was because the last time I posted on here was when I was 6mths pregnant with my 3rd child.

I gave birth on the 20th March to a beautiful healthy 9lb-3oz...........Baby Boy called George!

Event though I had a fabulous home water birth and all went fantastic, 2 weeks after I was admitted to hospital and went to theatre because I had retained placenta. I'm now fully fit and recovered though and thankfully George is a fabulous sleeper so I do at least get a good nights sleep I have put together some pics of baby George as he is now 4mths old and is getting bigger by the day.

I feel so lucky to have been blessed with three beautiful, healthy children who make my life complete and even though it can be difficult and stressful at times i would never change a thing.

Now because i have been out of action for a while I'm not up to date with all the latest crazes and must haves so i would be grateful if you could fill me in so i can have an excuse to go on a shopping spree!

I'm not going to promise that I will be able to update my blog as regular as I used to but once i get back into the swing of things I bet there will be no stopping me.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year All!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and would like to wish each and every one of my special visitors a very happy, healthy & prosperous 2011!

Well now the festivities are over I can officially say that this baby is due this year....... phew! Only 10 weeks to go and boy am I ready. I'm planning on lot's of crafting before March and lot's of rest. I found out the Friday before Christmas that I have an 'Inguinal Hernia'. I noticed a swelling in my lower left side of my groin and was finding it extremely difficult to put any pressure on my left side. This is so uncomfortable being 7mths pregnant as I can't even get comfortable in bed. The Consultant told me there is not much that can be done until after baby is born.

Anyway on to my 1st creation of 2011 it's a simple birthday card using just my nesties and Designer paper.

I was lucky enough to receive 4 sets of new nesties and Labels 17 was one of them. I love this shaped card and know I will be using it for more. One of my resolutions is to be more organised with birthday cards so I went straight in for the kill. I also intend to use up stash, and to complete my cards with inserts and envelopes.

I would also like to thank Regina Easter from The Cutting Cafe' for very kindly allowing me to be part of the team from the very beginning. You will still see me using all the fabulous sets I have and I would love to join the team again in the future ;0)

Merry Christmas Teacher

Hello, hope you are all keeping cozy and snug if it's cold where you are at the moment! It's freezing here in the Midlands so lot's of craft time I think!

Here are 2 cards I have made for Harvey's Teachers and I think they turned out really cute.

This one I went for a more traditional look using reds, greens and Golds and the old fashioned pic of Saint Nick himself!

For my second card I wanted a more modern contemporary look so I used purples, silver and blue and really like the look of this one. The birds are cut out from an old DCWV mat stack sorry I can't remember the name. I then punched out some silver branches using my Ms branch punch and added them around the frame.

I have used the 'Merry Christmas Teacher huge circle set available here from The Cutting Cafe' on both cards. I also used the largest scalloped circle nesties for the base of the cards.

Hi Everyone!

It's been a few weeks since my last post because if you read the post below you will know my sister just had her beautiful baby girl 'Erica'. I'm so thrilled as I was the only sibling to have had children so I'm now a very proud Auntie!

Today's card is one I have made for my oldest son Owen. Yes I'm still slugging away at the Christmas cards and still have quite a few to make!

I love these digis I purchased last year from 'Angels Landing'.

I used my Labels 13 nesties to make the card base and ran it though the cuttlebug to emboss with snowflakes. I then added some Silver stickles to highlight.

I hope you guys are more organised than me and are well on your way with Christmas duties. I do have a bit of an excuse however as I was crazy enough to have the builders in to rip out my old bathroom out last week in the middle of all the snow. They are just doing the finishing touches now so hopefully we can get back to normal........for a while! lol

Introducing my Beautiful Niece 'Erica'

Hi Guys,

The reason for me not posting the past few weeks is because my sister was expecting her 1st baby and my Mum and me were her birth partners. We had a few false alarms but in the end she was admitted to hospital the night before her due date due to having high blood pressure and protein in her urine. Anyhow on Monday they decided to break her waters at 2.20 pm and by 4.09 pm she had a beautiful baby girl weighing 8lb 4oz!! As you can imagine I was so thrilled and honoured to be able to see a new life come into the world it was such an amazing experience and so emotional.

I'm so excited to be an auntie and wanted to share some pics of my Beautiful niece Erica!

Ready, Set, Snow!

Today I have created a bright and cheerful Christmas card which turned out being much more pink and girlie than I had expected but who don't lurve Pink?

I wanted to use some of my never ending supply of Christmas mat stacks I have so I decided on this cute sheet from The Winter Stack by DCWV. I then searched on the net for cute snowmen colouring images and found this guy or girl in my case lol and thought it would be perfect. After I'd coloured her in using my Copics I ran it through my Cuttlebug using 'snowflakes' embossing folder.

I also had a go at adding some pleated ribbon and added a very sparkly snowflake to embelish.

The sentiment I made myself using a font called Chalkboard from ScrapNfonts.

The bottom edge below the snowmen was made using my wave EK success punch.

Vintage Christmas Ornament

I found this tutorial over at Splitcoast Stampers on how to make an Heirloom Photo Ornament.

Beate also has a video tutorial you can find here.

I think this is such a beautiful creation to make for Grandparents or just to keep for yourself. The tutorials use the new Heirloom dies from Nestabilities but again I don't have this set. I was very tempted to go and purchase it but I was very good and improvised by using Labels 13 for the actual ornament shape and Labels 3 for the window.

There are a few pics because it was quite difficult to photograph showing all the way around. Again I made the flower and forgot to take pics so i will make sure I remember next time so I can add a tutorial.

This is the other side showing another pic of the boys and to hide the back of the flower at the top of my bow I added a snowflake making it pretty back and front.

I just wanted to show this view so you can really see how it looks. Altogether there are 3 photos added to the ornament as there are 3 panels.

I'm extremely pleased with finished result and will making a few more for gifts. Even my 12 year old son said ''Wow Mum that is really cool!'' It was a really enjoyable project ;0)

Felt Mitten Decoration

Hello!

I'm so pleased with this little Christmas felt Mitten I've made and I was surprised at how quick and easy it was to put together.

I found the tutorial on the wonderfully talented Beate's blog Fresh & Fun. The tutorial's I've seen all use the nested mitten nestabilities but I don't have these however I do have a Mitten shaped card template which you can purchase from The Cutting Cafe'. I basically just used the top layer and

sized the mitten, duplicated it, flipped it then printed it off. I then attached the templates to some felt using masking tape and followed Beate's tutorial which you can find here.

I've now had a go at hand sewing and can do the button hole stitch! I just used normal sewing thread instead of embroidery thread but will be purchasing some very soon.

Now the little rolled flower was made using organza ribbon and I'm going to do a little tutorial at some point this week ;0)

I'm super pleased with the little picture embellishments and will be making more for sure. I just got a couple of pics from the internet sized them, printed them off and then added some 3D gloss! I then just made a little hole at the top to add my thread.

I hope you like this decoration I will be making some more so watch this space ;0)

Hi Everyone,

I went for my 20 week baby scan last Thursday and little Baba looked so cute and adorable but most importantly was all healthy and well ;0) It is such a relief when the sonographer tells you baby looks fine and you see that little heart beating! Well we did find out the sex but we haven't yet decided whether or not to tell anyone or keep it a surprise? We will have to see ;0)

Anyway I made a start on my Christmas cards a couple of days ago using these adorable new digis from The Pink Cat Studio.
I made the sentiments myself.

I Hope you have all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was spent relaxing and watching lot's of TV which I don't normally do apart from Coronation Street (I'm a big fan).

Today I have made a card not quite my usual bright style but it's good to try out other things and I'm finding I'm using things I forgot I even had since I'm now only on the 1 design team.

I wanted to try an aperture card using my nestabilities and because the card base is only 4.5 x 4.5" I used a small labels 1 die. With the cut out I embossed it using one of my embossing folders called????? I'll let you know it's the one that gives a wood effect lol I then used my never used before Chisel it tool and sanded across the embossing. I'm really pleased with the outcome and will be using this more often.

I then framed around the aperture and also sanded around the edge. The little birdie stamp is from a set called 'Feathered Friends' from DoveCraft and I popped him using 3D foam squares. The corner stamp is also a DoveCraft stamp from the 'Wild Asparagus' set. I finished the card off by adding a few branches made with my MS punch and a sentiment.

Sending Treats Is Awful Sweet.

I just adore this new set Regina over at The Cutting Cafe' has designed. You can use these delicious Candy shaped cards for almost any occasion. I decided to go bright as usual and thought it would be great for a Halloween card.

I have also used another new set called 'Halloween Treats Just For You'

for the sentiment and they come coloured or B&W. You also get a couple of candy toppers in different sizes.

I cut my card out on my pazzle but the file comes with a PDF also so you can hand-cut it if you don't have a cutting machine.

I added some card candy on the stripes and I think they look really jazzy.

I finished off by adding 2 small organza bows on the wrapper ends.

Trick Or Treat Smell My Feet Give Me Something Good To Eat!

Good Evening All ;0)

I'm back again with yet another Halloween creation. I must admit I'm really enjoying myself crafting again after the big break and the morning sickness seems to have definitely got much better. I say this with a caution as I dare not speak too soon and this comment come back to bite me! Also I have my 20 week scan next Thursday and I really can't wait. I think we will be finding out the sex too as I'm much too impatient to wait another 20 weeks lol.

Anyway here is my card today and it is using another cute one of 'Marvin candy apple' which you can find here from The Stamping Bazzar.

I have well and truly fell in love this adorable little guy! Again I coloured him using Coloursoft Pencils and blended with baby oil.

Not too sure if you can see the dimension but I attached him to the card using 3d foams and I also added some glitter stickles to the Toffee Apple if you can see them. It reminds me of toffee apples when I was a little girl and they were covered in coconut......delicious!

The sewing is not perfect but I'll get there I'm sure ;0)

Hello Everyone!

I'm still doing Halloween creations and here is one I made this morning.

Nothing too fancy just a fun card with a bit of dimension and bright colour!

The Frankenstein image is a free download by Dawn Moore and you can find him and others here ;0)

Just go down the page on the left hand side and you will find a list of free images which Dawn kindly offers.

The sentiment is from a dingbat I purchased from ScrapNfonts ages ago.

I'm really trying to use some of the many purchases I have and have never used (very naughty I know)!

The stitching is something I need to work on but I thought it worked well the image and the bat is a cut on my pazzle.

Good Evening All :0)

I am truly in the Halloween spirit at the moment and decided to get Owen and Harvey's cards done first in case I run out of time!

Well not that I need an excuse to purchase craft goods but I thought I would have a look around for some cute images and I come across a place called The Stamping Bazaar. I instantly took a liking to this cute little guy called 'Marvin Trick or Treat'

I was lucky enough to purchase 3 different images of him for $10. This is for a limited time only so hurry if you want to grab these cuties!

I coloured him using my Derwent coloursoft pencils and blended with oil.

The sentiment is available from The Cutting Cafe' from a set called 'Halloween Time'.

It's also time for The Cutting Cafe' Monthly Inspiration and the design team never fails to inspire me with all the wonderful creations. I'm so proud to be part of this team ;0)

The little bat embellishment was cut out on my pazzle and highlighted with my silver marker.

Trick Or Treat

Good Evening!

Finally I've got around to doing some crafting and what a fabulous time to do so with all the wonderful Halloween goodies around.

Here I've made a card using a couple of new sets from The Cutting Cafe' which you really need to check out. Regina has designed some wonderful coloured images and backgrounds in such spooktacular colours!

For this card I have used 'Halloween Mini Coloured Set' for the background paper and 'Halloween Time' for the Trick or Treat sentiment and the Witches legs.

Now I wanted to add another sentiment to the front of the card so I attached the legs to a lolly stick and also the circle sentiment 'Smell my Feet'. To hide this sentiment I covered the border with the 'Trick or Treat sentiment so when you push the legs up the sentiment pops up at the top of the card! Nothing too genius but a fun novelty which I know my boys will love.

It's been so long and here's why.........................

I really can't believe it's been 4 months since I last blogged or did any crafting. First back in June we had a huge job done by knocking our dining room through to our kitchen and having a new kitchen diner fitted which took up so much time. When the work finally got completed at the beginning of July I realised I was PREGNANT! Anyways we had planned for the pregnancy and was delighted it had happened so quickly but by the time I was 5 weeks I was so nauseous I could barely manage to lift myself out of bed and wasn't even managing to get dressed. Then at around 10 weeks I started vomiting daily and had no appetite I really did feel like absolute crap!I think this come as real shock to me because with my 2 boys I suffered no sickness at all and had a huge appetite so this really knocked me for six! At 11 weeks the doctor put me on medication however due to my stubborn nature I refused to take them and continued to suffer and feel worse as time went on. I didn't even manage to go on my PC as just reading would make me want to throw up lol.

I'm now nearly 17 weeks and for the past few days I think I'm starting to feel a little better and I haven't been sick since last Sunday so fingers and toes crossed! I can honestly say that I'm still waiting patiently to get that blooming pregnancy look and glow but my face still looks like a pizza with all the spots I have broken out in and I have no colour!

I thought I would share this pic of my 12 week scan with you all I think it's so clear!

Everyone is guessing I'm having a girl with feeling so different but as long as baby is healthy that is all that matters. If any of you guys had boy/girl did you have different symptoms?

If all remains good I'm planning on starting back crafting over the next few days so watch this space.

I have really missed you all and your amazing creations and can't wait to get back into the swing of things.

Coordinating Buttons Tutorial

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to share this card I made a few Weeks back for InStyle Stamps using the gorgeous new stamp ' Shopping Day'.

I'm also going to be showing you how to make your own perfectly coordinating buttons for all your crafting projects after seeing a tutorial some while ago by a lady called Sonja.

They are very simple and quick to make and here are the few supplies you will need.

Supplies:

Scrap pieces of card stock

Designer paper

Punch or any die cut

Clear Gloss Finish / Glossy Accents

Eyelet setter / paper piercer

Thread

Glue

Right first you will need to punch out or use a die cut of your chosen shape 4 times using scrap pieces of card. It doesn't matter what the card looks like because you will be covering it with designer paper.
You then need to cut out the same shape again but this time using designer paper to match your card.
Glue each shape and place one on top of the other making sure the designer paper one is on the top.

This part is optional you can either ink around your shape or leave it as it is.

Now you need to make 2 small holes to create your button holes either using an eyelet setter or a sharp tool.

I then used Anita's 3D clear Gloss finish but Glossy accents would give the same effect or any Gloss finish such as Mod Podge.

You now need to allow the gloss to dry completely or you can use your heat gun to speed things up.
Once your button is dry add some thread to complete your handmade button.
You could try other options too like colouring your top shape with copics instead of using designer paper allowing you to get a perfectly coordinating button for all your crafting projects.
Here is my finished card with the 3 buttons I have made.

Hi again Guys,

Well I really fancied doing a card with one of my Magnolia stamps just for me because after going through all my stamps and putting them in some sort of order I realised I had over 20 un-inked Tilda's!!!

I feel so ashamed to admit I'm still buying craft goods when I have so many things unused. Is anyone else guilty of this too?
I have made the flower myself using nestabilities and very thin card. I will be adding a tutorial later to give exact details even though I know there are tons out there.

I'm in a bit of a rush this morning as I'm off to take Harvey for his swimming lesson so it's just a quickie.

Today's challenge over at PDS is to use a pearl or pearls on your projects. This is because today's release is 'The Pearl' and the images as usual are fabulous.

For my card I have used 'knit 1 Pearl 2' and I thought with the curves on the armchair it would look great on a labels 8 shaped card.

I have added 2 little pearls on ther top of the knitting needles and made the sentiment myself.

Hello Guys,

Today I'm just about getting my voice back and Harvey's Chicken Pox are nearly all scabbed over so I think we are both on the mend! lol

Anyway today I have a sneak peek of one of the new images from tomorrows release 'The Pearl' over at The Studio.

For this card I have used 'Mermaid and the Pearl' and you can purchase her from tomorrow.

Now for this card I wanted to use my sadly neglected embossing folders to create a nice and crisp looking card with just a little colour. I also added a couple of score lines above and below the embossed sentiment using my Scor - pal.

I will definitely be using this technique again as I really like this look.

Good afternoon Peeps,

Before I share my card today I just want to say that I recently decided to step down from the YNS design Team. I have been on the DT since the very beginning more than a year ago and have made some wonderful crafting friends who I will remain to stay in touch with. Good Morning,

Today it's time for a Pixie Dust Challenge and this week the challenge is to 'Cut It Out'. You can either cut out the whole image or just part of it it's up to you ;0)

I have cut out the whole image of this really cute image called 'Polly Wog The Princess' which you can find here at The Studio.

I made the sentiment myself and cut it out using my Fancy Tags nesties. I then sponged distress inks in stripes.

I also found a tutorial here how to use your MS punches to add frames around your circles or ovals. This really opens up no end of possibilities and makes your punches a great purchase. I used my Doily lace punch but I believe any will work.

I was quiet anxious to find out how it would turn out with it being a complete scenery stamp as I have never really coloured any images like this before.

I always dread the masculine cards because I'm such a sucker for the pinks but I really like the earthy tones to this card. I also wanted to add some ribbon and I have had a roll of this stuff in my stash for ages now so I decided to add a strip. The sentiment was made by me and to give it a more masculine feel I got out my long lost friend the silent setter!

Happy Saturday Everyone,

I'm here today to show you cards I have made using a couple of really cute sets from 'The Cutting Cafe'!

I decided to make some little shaped cards from my Nestabilities and I think the turned out really cute.

For this snail card I used 'Cute Critters' and also 'Assorted Bug Circle words' .

I inked around the circle with my dusty concord distress ink and added a bit of bling to the snail and used my gel pen to add my favourite dots on her shell.

This card was made using ''Assorted Bug Circle words'.

I made the card using my 'Blossom' nesties and made the circle sentiment 2.5" x2.5" to fit inside my circle nestie. I cut out and coloured the little ladybird and again added my favourite white dots on her body and inked around the circle using 'Barn Door' distress ink.

On The Prairie - PDS Release Day & Freebie for today only!

I have a made a couple of projects using the adorable images and I'm sure you agree that Kathy seems to design the perfect little characters every time!

Here is a card and a picture I have made.

For the card I used an image from the 'Critters Cluster' collection called 'Goggles Raccoon'.

I love the how bright and fun this turned out. I also used a piece of sponge to ink in stripes across the sentiment and I love this look.

For this next project I wanted to use one of the images to make a little picture for a child's room.

The image is called 'Tweet Tree' from the 'On The Prairie' collection.

The sentiment was made by me on my PC and was sponged over with distress inks.

I then attached the mat to a white frame and think it would look so cute in a little girl's room.

Today I have 2 cards to share with you and they are both for InStyle Stamps.

The first card is one I have made using 'Jane' and you can find her here to purchase and if you use my InStyle links you will receive a 5% discount off your purchase.

I made the sentiment myself and and cut it out using my 'Tags Trio' nesties. I then sponged over the ink once it had dried using my daubers and distress ink. This is a new favourite technique of mine as I think it really adds depth and makes the sentiment jump out.

I then added a border using my MS Doily Lace punch.

For my second card I used 'Boots' and I decided to make a wild pair! lol

I have had the animal print card for ages and knew that it would be perfect for this image. I printed the boots on white card then printed them again onto the animal print card and cut out the material part of the boots and glued the pieces on the white card. I then coloured the top part and the heel with my Copics.

Again the sentiment was made by me and i sponged over it using distress ink.

I then remembered I had also got some fashion buckle nesties which I don't really use and thought one would look perfect for an embellishment on this card.

Groove is in the Heart - InStyle Blog Hop

Good Evening Guys,

I'm here this evening with my projects for this month's Blog Hop for InStyle Stamps. If you have arrived here from Jodie's blog then you are on the right track ;0)

The theme this month is

'Mom's Day'

because even though we have already celebrated this wonderful occasion over here in the UK it isn't until the 9th of May in the USA.

I decided to use 'Roxy' for my projects because she is so Groovy and was perfect for what I had in mind.

I wanted to fill a small pail I had purchased ages ago and never done anything with. I filled it with scrunched up paper and put some mascara, lip gloss, eyeshadow and nail polish to make the perfect gift for a groovy mum!

I made the circle sentiment for the top of the pail myself using a free font I had and cut it out using my circle nesties.

I wanted to make a card to complete the set so I decided to make use Roxy again as she was so much fun to colour. I paper pierced her top on the pail so this time I paper pierced her very jazzy flares!

I used the same paper for my my card and then just added some flowers and the text 'Groovy'

I must say I have really loved making this set and can't wait to give it to my Mum not for mothers day but just because she is so wonderful!

Well if you visit my blog regularly you will know I love using all sorts of dots and spots on my creations so I decided on the theme

'Going Dotty'.

You can add spots or dots on your creations in any way you can think of weather they are doodles, embellishments, paper etc...

For my card I have used 'Shopper Fhiona' and I added some liquid pearl to the spots on her headband and also her handbag.

I then cut out a heart shape with my nestabilities and added some textured spots with the embossing folder.

I'm back again for the second time today so if you are here to see my YNS card then that post is underneath this one ;0)

I wanted to try out my new sponge daubers I recently purchased and also my new Tim Holtz Distress inks. I decided to leave my image inside the nestie and lightly dab around the image but I think I need a little more practice to be even lighter but I'm still pleased with the outcome.

Hi Everyone,

Firstly my apologies for being absent for so long but what should have been 2 bedrooms and a toilet being knocked through and re done turned into a much bigger job than we had thought so we have been so busy and I have had no time to sit and craft until today! I have really missed crafting and bloggig and I will promise to come and visit your blogs as soon as I can ;0)

Now because I have been behind with all my DT work this challenge over at InStyle Stamps is 2 days later than it should have been but better late than never. Hello :)

Before I share today's card with you I just want to say Thank you to all of you who voted for my Easter projects over at InStyle Stamps blog because I was the lucky DT member who won :) Be sure to check out the post here to see if you are the lucky winner of the Labels 10 nesties ;0)

Right today's card is a sneak peek of the upcoming release from Pixie Dust Studios 'Princess Parade' and they are stunning. Snow White was always a favourite of mine so I decided to use this fab image.

I really wanted to be bright and bold with this one with the colors being primary and strong. Can you believe I didn't use any DP just plain card?? Well I think it worked to really focus on the image rather than the paper and I am so pleased with the outcome. The button started out white but I covered it with navy blue embossing powder and heat embossed it a couple of times to get it to match perfectly.

InStyle Stamps Chipboard Challenge

Hi Guys,

Firstly I apologize for not visiting your blogs recently but Harvey was unwell last week with a virus and this week we have builders in for a few weeks knocking out 1 of the bedrooms which we have never used and one of our toilets upstairs into 1 big room and also another bedroom which as ended up turning into a much bigger job than what we anticipated. We was just wanting the old picture rail and skirting boards taken off and re-skimming but the whole wall came tumbling down! We are really in a mess! Our bedroom is now shared with 2 little monkeys at the moment so a lot of snoring going on! lol

Anyways today it's time for a challenge over at the InStyle Stamps Blog and this Wednesday's challenge was set by Linda and she want's to see 'chipboard' on your creations.

I have used Ava here for my card and and used my new MS punch around the page punch. Currently a few of the collections including Ava's are being retired........but only in digis as they are being made in rubber so you can grab yourself a fab bargain :0)

For my card I have used 'Monkey Gone Bananas' and he is so cute. The leaves and sentiment is also part of the set and you can find it here. I thought the leaves would look good placed over the cheeky monkey with a brad to reveal his cheeky face.

PDS Challenge #12 & Sneak Peek

Good Afternoon Guys, I'm sorry I've not been around much this week but I have had so much DT stuff to do I have had little time to blog and visit but I will try and find some time later today ;0)

Today it's challenge time over at PDS challenge blog and this week the wonderful Cabio wants to see 'Flowers and Buttons' on your creations.

Here is my take on the challenge and I have also used an image from the next release 'In The Meadow' which will be available on the 18th from PDS. I love this sweet image and the rest are equally as fab.

I again used my sewing machine but this time I decided to sew alongside all my paper layers to give me more confidence and I think it worked as I don't seem as afraid of the machine anymore lol! I pleated my ribbon and added the crochet flower and button. The papers are from a new paper download shop I came across called 'Nitwits' and they do some wonderful kits! This paper set is called 'Prints Charming' and I must say I purchased quite a few kits because they are such great value.

We have some brand new releases to share with you today and I'm sure you are going to love them all. The DT have either created an Easter or Mothers Day theme depending on what stamps we have chosen.

I chose 'Fluffy Chick with Eggs' so Mine is an Easter Theme. I have made a little Easter basket with a matching card using the new stamps.

For my card I wanted to keep it clean and simple with the paper and egg stamps being the main focus. The paper is from a set from a few years back called 'Spring' by Papermania. I then just stamped the eggs out a couple of times and coloured them with my Copics.

The Easter Basket is a cut file from The Cutting Cafe' and it was so quick and easy to assemble. You will get the template for a basket to hold 1 and 4 eggs. I used the one to hold 1 small Cadbury's cream egg but you can resize if you want to. The cute little chick at the front comes with the eggs and also the Spring sentiment.

Well It's time again for this months sketch with Club Anime by InStyle Stamps. I really enjoy a sketch and find it really helps me make my card quicker than usual because I'm following a layout. Are you guys the same or do you prefer to just go with the flow?

For my card I have used a brand new stamp called 'Eula' who will be available to purchase on the 5th of March. I adore this image and really enjoyed colouring the balloon which I also think would look great paper pierced. Down The Rabbit Hole with PDS

Today it's release day over at Pixie Dust Studio and you really don't want to miss out these wonderful images believe me, Kathy had done a wonderful job and each image is truly magical.

For this card I have used 'Under the Mushroom' which you can now purchase from here.

I decided I wanted to try out my crackle accents which I have had forever and never tried and I thought it would look good for the top of the mushroom. I was expecting it to take much longer to dry but was surprised that it was completely dry within the hour ;0) I also used the sewing machine but don't look too closely! lol

Hi Guys,

Today there is another fab challenge over at Pixie Dust Challenge blog and this week it is 'Think Birthday'. The DT have done some wonderful cards and you can win a digi of your choice if you enter.

We have also been working on the new images which will be released on the 1st of March called 'Down The Rabbit Hole' from PDS.

For my card I have used 'Spot of Tea' and I think it is so cute. I added the sentiment which is from a set over at The Cutting Cafe' called 'Trees in a row'.

I decided to use my pencils and blending solution for a change. I then added a strip along the bottom using MS doily lace punch and some ric rac. I also used dew drops for the teapot and teacup.

Firstly I haven't been around since last Thursday because my keyboard died on me for my Apple imac :0( I only received my replacement yesterday so I have lot's to share with you over the next few days.

Here is a card I made for InStyle Stamps with a brand new release from the Anime images on Friday.

This cutie is called Lily and she was a dream to colour. I knew immediately which paper I wanted to use and it is from an old set from a few years ago by Papermania. InStyle stamps have released quite a few new images not only in the Anime range but also the Retro and they are all gorgeous.

This is my second post of the day and this time I am sharing my creation for this month's Over the hump blog candy give away at InStyle stamps blog. The theme this month is St.Patrick's and at first I was really unsure what to create. After looking through my InStyle collection I decided to use the adorable 'Ava leaning' whom I love to colour.

I thought she would work perfectly with the new 'Huge circle sentiment set' from The Cutting Cafe'. After removing the background from Ava I merged her on top of the circle sentiment and she looks like she was made to sit there! lol. I then cut the shaped card using my scalloped circle nesties.

I love this New leaf copic color green it is so fresh and vibrant and perfect for a St.Patrick theme and I managed to find some card in an almost perfect match. Again the spots on Ava's dress were created using my blender pen.

Hi All,

I am so excited to share this card with you today because it is a sneak Peek of Thursday's New release 'Paradise' from Pixie Dust Studio.

The images are all fab and you can have so much fun colouring them in. I decided to use this Flamingo to start with because I thought you could really go to town with nice bright colours and sparkle. I just wanted to share that the white spots you see a lot of on my creations isn't paper piercing it is just my copics blender pen. I just dot around on certain parts of my image and it removes ink from that spot. I am a bit obsessed if you haven't noticed lol. It really does look like paper piercing though.

I have also used my new fashion buckles nesties which I have had for a while but never used. Again the flower is from flower creations and I just added a button after clipping off the back to make it nice and flat.

Good morning,

I hope you have all had a lovely Valentines weekend ;0) Ryan and me decided to stay in and cook at home with a movie and some Hagan daz ice cream (strawberry Cheesecake) yummy!

Anyway today I want to share my 2 cards I have made using some of the new releases from YNS which you can purchase from today. This time around we aren't having a blog hop but you can still head over to Karen' s blog and enter a little contest she is running and you could win $20 in YNS bucks ;0)
For my first card I used one of Fhiona's stamps - 'Fhiona's Pets and Treats'. I chose the cute little bunny and I think she is so sweet.

I decided to do a shaped card and used my Blossom Nesties for the shape. I then made some more flowers using my flower creations set and inked the embossed parts of the flowers. I love this look.

For my second card I used one of Franfrou's animals stamps - Vacation Don.

How cool is this guy? lol I really wanted to use some jazzy fun and bright colours for him and especially his little car. After colouring the car I added my usual little spots to really make it pop. I also inked around Dan with some ink by sponging. I actually used my 1st ever craft purchase from 3 years ago which are my Whispers ink pads. I am debating buying the Copic ABS but I need to do some more research first. Any advice greatly appreciated.

It's time for another colour Challenge over at the Club Anime blog and the colours are so fresh and pretty it really makes you ready for Spring.

These are the colours we were to use and I must say I really enjoyed them.

For my card I used the gorgeous 'Sitting Kylah' which you can purchase here and if you use this link you will receive a 5% discount off your purchase ;0) The flowers are made using one of my new flower creations sets which I have just purchased and I love them ( so much I now have all 3 sets). Tori also makes them for her gorgeous creations which you can find here. I love this set because you can just place 1 sheet of paper on the die and it will cut out all the pieces in one go. I then sponged ink on the embossed parts of the flower.

PDS Challenge #8 - Colour Recipe

Sorry I've not posted for a few days but I have been busy working on my DT creations which you will
see very shortly.

Today over at PDS it's time for another challenge and this week the lovely Lisa is our host and she wanted us to use the colors Red& /or Pink,Blac k & Whit e.

I have used 2 PD S images for m y card and merged th em together using Photoshop and if enough people want to know how to do this I would be more than happy to do a small tutorial. I have used 'Lovebirds' and 'Royal Cake' which you can find here.

Mo's Digital Pencil - Patience

Today I want to share a card I've made using a new image I have purchased from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I was browsing through some of my favourite blogs for a little inspiration and this is where I found a link to Mo's store.

As soon as I started browsing through the beautiful images I knew I would be purchasing quite a few and this one is one of them called 'Patience'. I love this sweet little image and couldn't wait to colour it in. For a change I decided to use my neglected Derwent Coloursoft Pencils because thought they would work well this image. I followed this sketch from A Spoonful of Sugar. I will be sharing more creations made using these fabulously adorable images.

I'm so excited today because the Paper Pixies have so many wonderful creations to share with you! Firstly we have the Pixie Dust Challenge which is today and we want you to use a 'Decorative border' on your creations.

For my card I used this cheeky little monkey which is from today's new release 'Wild Flowers' and he was a dream to colour.

I used my MS branch punch to add some dimension to the branch and my new MS loop punch for my decorative edge. I made the sentiment myself in AI.
